| Saving 25 kilos..HOW?!! | | http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2008-08-28-jazz-vests-removed_N.htm?csp=Travel
A Canadian Airline,Jazz, has for economy reasons decided to offload the lifevests from some of it's aircraft that fly transcontinental routes (ie,not so much over water) to save weight and thereby fuel...how much weight? about 25 kilos...the budget airlines around here have baggage allowances of 10 kilos per person..that doesn't sound like a lot of weight saved to Me..I'm not a big person, and I weigh near triple that..What do you think about the idea? If they're not going to be flying over water,I suppose a lifevest IS superfluous..the seat cushions that double as flotation devices will remain,though..
What else do you think could be done away with on inland flights?

| | Do You Have A Boat? | | How many of you have a boat? Do you use it? How often do you go out in it? Do you have any fears of going out in your boat?We have a really nice bass boat. It's red sparkly and matches our red truck. We enjoy our boat and go out on the lake every chance we get. The only thing I ever worry about is my dog falling into the water so I bought him a lifevest. He hates it but I make him wear it.
Did you know dogs can get sunburned? I just learned that so I always take a small umbrella that he can sit under. He loves the boat too.
What kind of boat do you have?

I envy them so much. This is something I would definitely want to do,although I do have some apprehensions since I'm not that good of a swimmer..but what the heck, I can always wear a lifevest right?^_^ Well I have some pictures of their surfing adventures here for you guys:) Hopefully one day,I'll be one of the people surfing in the picture, and I can show it to the whole mylot community^_^
